Artwork Guidelines

We want to make your ordering experience as easy as possible. Here are a few guidelines for artwork:

All artwork must have a MINIMUM of 1/4” margin on ALL sides. (i.e.—business cards are 3– 1/2” x 2.” Your imprint area will be 3” x 1– 1/2”.) Bleeds must extend 1/8” over each side of the finished item, with all text or logos fitting within the margins stated above.

We are a pc-based business and we work mostly in the following programs:

Corel X3

Pagemaker 7.0

Indesign

Other programs we can use:

Corel Word Perfect Microsoft Word

Power Point Excel

Photoshop Microsoft Publisher

Formats we need to use if saving from another program:

eps tif

pdf bmp

jpg (300 dpi or higher)

Some useful tips for sending artwork:

1) Be sure to use only high resolution bitmaps for your artwork. We do not recommend using items from websites. Bitmaps and jpgs from websites are usually low resolution (72 dpi) and are very grainy or fuzzy. We can use them after they have been recreated and that costs you more money.

2) Whenever possible, please bring us or email us the file that you used to create your copy. Even if we have to edit the file, we can still save you money by using your original file.

3) If your file is to be an “Open and Print” file, please call ahead and ask how it needs to be sent. We want your printing to go as smoothly as possible so you have your job completed in the most timely fashion.
