GUIDELINES FOR E-MAILING YOUR FILES
When you e-mail a print job to B-W Graphics at jklein@bwgraphics.com please follow these guidelines to make sure
your job doesn’t fall through the cracks.
 | FAX a copy of any text or graphic you have sent along with information about what format you’ve used. Be sure to mention on the
FAX, that you e-mailed a file to us. Any attachment bigger than 4 MB will not fit in our e-mailbox; so you’ll need to mail or drop off a disc along with hard copy and file information. |
REGARDING FILE ATTACHMENTS:
 | Note in the subject line who the e-mail is for, from what company and toward what print project. |
 | If you’re attaching text, save the document file in rich text format (.rtf). |
 | If you do your own scanning, use these guides: line art at 450 DPI; grayscale at 200 and color at 300. Include the originals with your order in case we need to improve the scan quality. (The more graphics you have in the file, the less likely you will be able to send it intact via e-mail. Call before you send; don’t save the graphic at a lower DPI to try and save space.) |
 | If you send a PDF please be sure it is an editable file. |
NOTE:
We are a PC-based company. Your MAC-based files WILL BE A PROBLEM. This is a challenge our industry faces every day as the translation processes from MAC to PC and back are not clear-cut.
WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:
CorelDraw 13, PageMaker 7, Photoshop 7.0, InDesign, Microsoft Publisher 2000, Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect
